Working papers that live inside the app
Parallel folders feel safer until someone leaves and the auditor asks for item 47.
Many UK treasury teams still park PDFs on a shared drive while the treasury audit oversight app holds only a status flag. That split guarantees mismatched versions. When evidence lives beside the exception, the trail stays whole.
Keep comments short and dated
Long essays discourage updates. We teach a three-line habit: what was checked, what remains open, who owns the next step. Attachments carry the heavy proof; comments carry the narrative.
Link, do not duplicate
Where policy requires a formal paper file, store the canonical pack in the app and reference its ID in the paper index. Duplicating both ways is how drift begins.
Reviewer sign-off as a first-class field
If supervisors only approve by email, the app never learns. Use the review status inside the platform so sampling can filter for unsupervised clears.
