When sampling is not enough

Sampling is a tool, not a shield. If your population excludes an entity because the feed failed, the sample will look healthy while risk hides off-screen. Our courses treat that blind spot as a first-class topic.

Declare the population

Write which accounts, currencies, and date ranges entered the selection. If anything was excluded, list it with a reason. Auditors prefer an honest boundary to a perfect-looking chart.

Pair samples with exception trends

A sample of cleared high-value payments does not explain a rising pile of unowned ambers. Review both views in the treasury audit oversight app before you sign the period.

Escalate patterns, not only items

Three similar disputes with one counterparty may matter more than twenty unique one-offs. Teach supervisors to promote patterns into incident tickets outside the routine queue.
